Rachel Carson Study and ....
Posted on September 24, 2010 with 0 commentsI've been immersed in reading Rachel Carson and about Rachel Carson for a new BirdNote presentation that I am working on. What a totally amazing woman. Her biography by Linda Lear entitled Rachel Carson Witness for Nature is so inspiring to read. We are all so indebted to her for her expertise and ability to write so convincingly and beautifully!!
I am currently creating a musical collage of the sounds from some of her favorite bird species with which I will improvise. There are so many many to choose from!! I'm learning some of the great sounds of the east coast birds which I haven't heard in quite a while seeing as how I've been living in the great state of Washington for the past 26 years!
I've also been working on a wonderful meditation CD to help relieve Depression and Anxiety with yoga extraordinaire Robin Rothenberg. I'll let everyone know when it is available.
